Hi everyone,
To be honest, I’m not sure where to start, or even if I’m doing the right thing here but, as we’re living in what I call a “culture of fear” at the moment, I guess it’s up to me to assure all you non-photographers out there that I’m not a terrorist (or indeed a criminal of any kind!). I’m just someone who likes poetry and photography.
I’ve been both a poet and photographer since the tender age of 10. Although I’m from the kind of environment where, many years ago, people shouted and swore at me just for saying the word “poetry”, they didn’t seem to mind me taking photographs. Yet, for no reason whatsoever, I find myself being verbally abused just for taking pictures of the flowers and things in my own garden nowadays.
While I understand a lot of your fears, I just wanted to reassure you all that I’m not a criminal. Recently, I’ve been studying the law regarding photography and I’m pleased to say that I haven’t broken the law yet!
Lynn xx

Metropolitan Police are currently updating their website (met.police.uk) so, sadly, my links are out of date. I'll post new links as soon as I can.
