DOLL'S HOUSE.
It was late. Sarah was alone.
A bright full moon was glowing through the landing window. Even though the sky outside was deep twilight, the light from the moon made it seem a lot lighter. Moonlight cast shadows over everything it touched - and the shadows were dancing! The plant on the window sill, draped in its silvery hues, looked like a ghost.
Sarah shivered a little.
Slowly, she made her way downstairs in the darkness, not wanting to put the hallway light on in case her parents were in bed. She had no idea what time it was until she went into the kitchen. She looked at the clock and saw that it was eleven o'clock. She tiptoed over to the kitchen sink, took a glass and filled it with water. She drank deeply from her glass, then left the kitchen, closing the door quietly behind her.
She hated the darkness, yet she knew that she had to be brave.
Clutching her teddy bear, she tiptoed back across the hallway and upstairs to her room.
Something strange was happening. She could feel it.
When she opened the door, she saw it.
A million dolls turned to stare at her. They had cold, hard, evil, penetrating eyes.
Sarah couldn't move. She wanted to scream, but she couldn't.
She watched helplessly as a million shadows rose up out of the darkness.
Slowly, they marched towards her, chanting
"KILL! KILL! KILL!"
Yet nobody could hear them...
